Privacy Policy

Lucky Shot ("the site", luckyshotsolver.com) is an unofficial fan-made tool that matches a screenshot of 8 Ball Pool's Lucky Shot / Golden Shot puzzle to a video of the winning shot. This page explains what data the site handles.

Screenshots

Screenshots you upload are processed in memory to detect the ball layout and find a match. They are not saved, shared, or used for anything else, and are discarded as soon as your request completes. If you pick a screenshot before signing in, it waits in your own browser, never on our servers, so it can be solved once you're back; it's removed when it's used, or after an hour.

Accounts

Using the solver requires a free account. For each account we store your email address and your subscription status. You can sign in with an emailed one-time link or with Google; with Google sign-in we receive only your verified email address, never your contacts, profile, or anything further. Disposable or temporary email addresses can't be used to sign in.

Free accounts get one solve a day. To enforce that, when a free account uses its daily solve we keep a short record of it: the date, which layout it unlocked, and a salted one-way hash of the network address the request came from — never the address itself. That record is used only to enforce the daily limit and is deleted once the day is over.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only a reference to your Stripe customer record and whether your subscription is active.

Cookies

The only cookies the site sets are a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in, which identifies your email address to us and nothing more, and a short-lived one used only while you sign in with Google. There are no ads on the site and no advertising or tracking cookies.

Usage statistics

To keep the solver working and fast, we record anonymous statistics about how it's used: pages viewed, whether a solve found a match and how long it took, which steps of signing in or upgrading were reached, page-load speed, and errors the page ran into. Each record holds the event, your country and device type (from your connection and browser, never stored themselves), and a pseudonymous ID: a salted one-way hash of your account if you're signed in, or, if you're not, of your network address and browser that changes every day, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next. We never record your email address, network address, the screenshot itself, or anything that sets a cookie. Statistics are kept for about three months, then only daily totals remain. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the page sends none of the page-side statistics. They're stored with Cloudflare, which already carries the site's traffic.

Emails

We send email only when you ask us to (sign-in links) — delivered via Resend. No marketing, no newsletters.

To delete your account and its data, or for any privacy question, email [email protected] from the address in question and we'll take care of it.
